8. Waiting list

Menu: Players → Waiting List

Where public sign-ups land. A parent fills in the [cpm_signup_form] shortcode on your website and an entry appears here as Pending.

On submission the plugin emails:

• the club secretary,
• the secretary of every squad whose date-of-birth range and type match the child, and
• a fallback address if no squad matches at all.

All three are configured on Edit Emails.

Working through the list

Filter by status or suggested team, or search. Open an entry to see everything the parent typed along with the squads suggested for the child.

• Convert turns the entry into a player, carrying the child's details and creating a guardian from the parent's name, email and mobile. The entry is marked Converted and linked to the new player.
• Edit corrects what the parent typed — the child's name, date of birth, team interest and area, and the parent's name, email, mobile and notes. Club admins only. Fix a date of birth here and the suggested squads follow. Editing an already-converted entry changes the sign-up record only; the player it became is edited on their own page.
• Archive parks an entry you are not acting on.
• Delete removes it.

You can also convert several entries at once from the list.

Importing from Microsoft Forms

Menu: Players → Import Waiting List (Forms)

A one-off tool for backfilling entries from a Microsoft Forms export, which uses a different column layout to the plugin's own form. It imports historical entries only and deliberately notifies nobody — these are not new sign-ups. Rows keep their original submission time, so the list stays in the order families actually joined it.
