Menu: Club Management → Actions

The jobs the club still has to do, gathered in one place, in sections by what kind of job it is.

Squad membership

  • Put X in a squad — a player on the club's books who is in no squad at all. They arrive this way routinely: an FA import brings in a child nobody has placed yet, and a waiting-list conversion does the same. The line underneath names the squads their date of birth makes them eligible for, which is usually the whole answer — or says that no squad covers it, which is a question about the club's squads or about the date on file.

Players who have left the club are left out, as are players who have declined the active season.

The FA paperwork, for the children who have confirmed for the active season. Three separate jobs, in the order they have to happen, and no child is ever in more than one of them:

  • FA Numbers — the club holds no real FA Number for them, only the placeholder a hand-added or waiting-list-converted record carries. Nothing can be filed for them until the number arrives.
  • Never registered with the FA — the club has their number, but has never registered them to a team. This is a first registration.
  • Lapsed FA registrations — the club has registered them before and the registration is no longer current: it expired, or it was cancelled. This is a renewal, and the line underneath names the team it was with and the day it ran out. A registration that expires over the summer brings its row back on the day it lapses.

Each row links to that player's page, where the answer usually is: their Team Registrations card and their record.

Nothing on this page is a stored to-do list. Every row is worked out from the club's own records each time you open the screen, so an action disappears by the job being done — register the player, or import the FA report that brings their number in, and the row is simply not there next time. There is nothing to tick off, and the list can never ask you to do something twice.

Set Aside is for the exception: an action you have looked at and decided not to act on. It hides that one row, for everybody, until you press Show Set Aside and put it back. Use it sparingly — if the job is genuinely done, the row will go on its own.

The "To do" figure at the top is the only place a count appears; there is deliberately no badge on the menu, because working one out would mean checking every job on every admin page you opened.

A team secretary sees the actions about children in their own squads, and a club admin sees everything.
